Jeremy Crosmer, recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Music degree in cello performance. He has played fiddle since he was ten years old, and cello before that. His training as a classical musician has led him across the country, where he has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the Brevard Music Center, and Interlochen Arts Camp. A former student of Tim Trawick, Jeremy has placed in many fiddle contests around the state. He also collaborated with Jonathan Trawick in releasing a CD of standard Old Time fiddle tunes with some original surprises. Next year Crosmer will begin doctoral studies in music as well as additional studies in mathematics. Not only does Jeremy have a solid background in Texas style fiddling, he also knows how to cross tune to play some of the old time fiddle tunes. Jeremy’s other interests include drawing mazes, creating and playing board games, and writing. |
